…I’ve been a huge Grateful Dead fan since my first show in 1989. I was immediately drawn to the scene, the music, the people, the vibe. Soon I began vending at local shows and festivals just for the fun of it, selling handmade art and craft items and giving out free grilled cheese sandwiches.
This is when I realized offering unique styles and sustainable clothing really excites me. I absolutely love meeting new people. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun it is to vend all day then run in to people wearing their fun new clothes at the shows.
Spending lots of time on the Grateful Dead music scene and enjoying the vending atmosphere inspired me to search for styles that were different. The scene was saturated with beautiful tie-dye and Guatemalan textiles, but they all looked the same to me. Not to mention the limited sizing mainly catered to smaller sizes.
I believe that YOU are one of a kind…and your clothing should be too.
It was love at first sight when I discovered this lovely manufacturer from India making silk pants from repurposed saris. I was immediately drawn to the beautiful patterns and colors of the luxurious silk fabric. By working with this vendor we are able to customize the style with the smocked elastic waistband which accommodates a variety sizes and shapes. My favorite thing about this product is the fact that every pair is unique. You will never run into someone wearing the exact pair as you!
